What is Media?..

Week 1 of CIU110 and the fundamental truth we learnt was that media is just information. Ok I know this sounds completely obvious but going further, today media is a broad term used to describe the various ways in which information is communicated.

Relevant to my course of study I have been fascinated by how information is communicated through sound. More explicitly how sound is created in such a way that is interpreted musically and can convey emotion as shown in the below TED talk.

Through sound we as human beings we can all be affected by sound almost in a universal way and this is why i am continuing my study of how sound is used as a media form to communicate.
