When mixing we for a game there will be sounds that play through out the game world to create immersion and belief that you are in the protagonists shoes.
Like film games will sometimes feature dialogue as well as music and Foley sounds that will play throughout the game play.
For this project we will be looking at breakdown of three main encounters between the protagonist Luke and his deceased team members.
Luke will go through several stages of grief and thus the music should reflect the mood and the allow for Dialogue to reinforce the emotion during the scene.
Considerations
ADR dialogue will play during the beginning of every song
EQ Notch - 3-4dB on 1kHz - 1.5kHz (Judd, 2015)
Possibly Automate the EQ to let certain frequencies through in the final mix.
Allow for the ambiance tracks to stay in the background since they will not completely die away in the mix during cut scenes
A separate EQ shall be set for each song depending on the musical frequencies that exist in the track
What sounds good in isolation may not sound good in game
Below are the tracks that the mix breakdown will go through and the reasoning behind why it was mixed in the certain way.
Zoe (Denial)
Piano solo with reverb throughout, dialogue, Atmos
Marie (Anger)
Synth bass line, violins, cellos, double bass, horns, dialogue, Atmos
