Give your VST keys more space without using reverb

Intro

This is a technique used to create more space for a usually bland and dry sounding VST midi instrument.



Application

This technique can be applied to any VST instrument that you wish to give space but do not necessary want to reach for the reverb plugin immediately. Some free VST plugins will have a very dry sound and tone that lacks life to a performance. This is a little trick to add that bit of life to a mix without using a reverb. (Owsinski, 2016)

Below is the VLOG on how I achieved the Nausicaa piano sound with a VST instrument in the current project 2.
