We walked to the following locations on the day: Fuel station, Pedestrian light, recorded the sounds of a car in motion while the microphone was pointed out of the window. The experience taught me that I can be creative with making my sounds. My team member and I walked to the waters edge and recorded the Foley sounds from the waters edge of the Brisbane river by pointing near the edge to get the lapping waves sound. We had a bit of difficulty in getting the correct sounds due to the world ambiance around at the time of day that we were recording. Do any of the events or learning material relate to my profession?
Having the chance to use the Binaural microphone is a great experience to use for recording the orchestra. I envision that in future almost if not all VR experiences will use some form of 3D audio application and this tool will be used extensively to create the immersive content to come.
Is there an academic or scientific explanation and what are the lessons learned?
If given the chance how would I respond or approach this week?
